Sustainability
At Dom, we take sustainability seriously and do our best to keep improving. Our ultimate goal is to become a b corp within the next few years. Our actions include but are not limited to:
Food
Using seasonal products sourced from local sources to maintain the highest quality and reduce the operation’s carbon footprint.
Meat is sourced from farms in the UK which take care of the highest welfare of their animals and use ethical methods of farming.
Fish are sourced from British waters from suppliers who do not use invasive methods of finishing. Regularly checking overfishing levels and pieces.
Vegetables are sourced from the farms using ethical methods like regenerative farming.
Dry goods being organic and ethically sourced like fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance etc. wherever available
Most of the food is made on-site, giving us full control over quality and processes
The majority of dishes on the menus are plant-based, reducing carbon footprint
Limited usage of highly processed food
People
Maintaining a fair, inclusive and safe workplace
Ensuring reasonable working hours for the staff
Paying a fair rate to the staff, significantly above London living wage
No gender pay gap – everyone is paid fairly based on their experience and work efficiency
Providing fair rates for the customers, allowing finding the balance between the accessibility of our services and profits
Supporting charities that share our goal (WaterAid, Water for People and others)
Environment
Minimising usage of single-use plastic
Deliveries done mainly with electric vehicles
For drop-off service, using fully compostable packaging
Goal to become a B Corp company by 2027
