What people say about us
Finger food for different occasions
Corporate events and networking
Make it easy for guests to eat while talking and moving around the room.
Finger food is well suited to product launches, office openings, networking evenings, presentations, exhibitions and drinks receptions where a formal meal would interrupt the event.
Office parties and team celebrations
Serve a varied selection of food that colleagues can enjoy informally.
We can deliver everything ready to arrange or provide setup, display equipment, waiting staff, drinks and clear-down.
Meetings and training days
Substantial finger food provides a flexible alternative to sandwiches or a full buffet.
Individual portions and clearly labelled dietary alternatives make service straightforward during short breaks or working sessions.
Private parties
Create a relaxed menu for birthdays, anniversaries, engagement parties and celebrations at home or in a hired venue.
Guests can choose different dishes throughout the event without needing formal table service.
Evening receptions
For longer drinks receptions, combine smaller bites with substantial finger food and desserts.
This provides a more complete meal while retaining the informal atmosphere of a standing event.

Finger food or canapés: which should you choose?
Although the terms are sometimes used interchangeably, the two formats serve slightly different purposes.
Choose canapés when:
- You want smaller, refined one- or two-bite dishes
- The event is primarily a drinks reception
- Presentation and tray service are central to the occasion
- Food is intended as a light accompaniment rather than a meal
- You are hosting a launch, formal reception or cocktail event
Choose finger food when:
- Guests need something more filling
- The event lasts several hours
- Food may replace lunch or an evening meal
- You want mini rolls, skewers, tartlets, sliders or substantial bites
- The atmosphere is informal or guests will serve themselves
You can also combine both formats. For example, start with tray-served canapés and follow with more substantial finger food later in the event.

How much finger food should you order?
The right quantity depends on when the event takes place, how long it lasts and whether other food will be served.
As a general starting point:
- Light refreshment: 4–6 pieces per guest
- Drinks reception: 5–7 pieces per guest
- Longer reception, replacing substantial meal: 8–10 pieces per guest
The size of each dish matters as much as the number. Ten small canapés are not equivalent to ten sliders, rolls or filled tartlets.
We’ll recommend an appropriate combination based on your event rather than encouraging unnecessary over-ordering.
Dietary requirements and allergens
We can prepare menus for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and other dietary requirements.
Where possible, we design the main menu to be naturally inclusive, reducing the need to provide completely separate dishes for every guest.
Dietary alternatives can be individually presented or clearly labelled. Separate serving utensils can also be provided where appropriate.
Please provide complete information about serious allergies before confirming your order. Although we follow appropriate food-safety and cross-contamination procedures, we cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free preparation environment.

Frequently asked questions about finger food catering
Q: What is considered finger food?
A: Finger food includes dishes designed to be picked up and eaten easily without formal table service.
It can include rolls, wraps, skewers, tartlets, fritters, sliders, pastries, crostini, individual salads and small desserts. Portions are often more generous than traditional canapés.
Q: How much does finger food catering cost?
A: Our finger food menus start from £15 per person and are subject to a minimum food spend of £350.
The final cost depends on your menu, guest numbers, delivery location, staffing, equipment, setup and service requirements.
Q: Is there a minimum order?
A: Yes. Our minimum food spend is £350 before delivery, staffing, equipment, setup, service, travel or other additional requirements.
Send us your event date, postcode and guest numbers, and we will confirm whether we can accommodate your order.
Q: How many pieces of finger food do I need per person?
A: Four to six pieces may be sufficient as a light refreshment. For a drinks reception, six to eight pieces is a useful starting point.
If finger food is replacing a light meal, approximately 10–14 substantial pieces per person may be more appropriate.
We’ll recommend quantities based on the dish sizes, event duration, time of day and other food being served.
Q: What is the difference between finger food and canapés?
A: Canapés are normally smaller, refined one- or two-bite dishes served during drinks receptions.
Finger food is a broader category that can include more substantial items such as mini rolls, sliders, wraps, skewers and individual savoury dishes. It is often better suited to longer or more informal events.
Q: Can finger food replace a meal?
A: Yes, provided the menu includes enough substantial dishes and the quantities are planned correctly.
For a meal-style service, we recommend combining protein-based items, vegetarian dishes, carbohydrates, vegetables and desserts rather than serving only small bites.
Q: Can you deliver hot finger food?
A: Yes, depending on the dishes, delivery distance and venue facilities.
Some items can be delivered hot and ready to serve. Others may need to be finished, reheated or maintained at temperature using suitable equipment.
We will recommend dishes that work safely and retain their quality during delivery and service.
Q: Do you provide serving staff?
A: Yes. We can provide waiting staff to arrange displays, offer food to guests, replenish platters, clear used items and maintain the service area.
The number of staff required depends on the guest count, venue, menu and service format.
Q: Can you provide drinks and bar staff?
A: Yes. We can provide drinks, glassware, bartenders and complete bar service alongside your finger food menu.
These services are quoted separately according to the event requirements.
Q: Can you cater for dietary requirements?
A: Yes. We can provide suitable vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and other dietary options.
Please give us complete dietary and allergy information in advance. We cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free kitchen.
Q: How far in advance should I order?
A: Three to five days’ notice is helpful for straightforward deliveries, although we will try to accommodate shorter-notice requests when possible.
For larger menus, staffed events or more complex requirements, we recommend booking four to twelve weeks in advance.
Q: Is finger food suitable for corporate events?
A: Yes. Finger food is particularly suitable for networking, office openings, launches, presentations, training days and team celebrations.
It allows guests to eat while standing or talking and can be scaled from light refreshments to a complete informal meal.
Q: Which areas do you cover?
A: We provide finger food catering throughout Greater London and can travel to selected locations in the Home Counties.
Areas we regularly cover include Central London, City of London, Westminster, Mayfair, Soho, Shoreditch, Islington, Canary Wharf, Kensington, Chelsea, Fulham, Hammersmith, Chiswick, Richmond, Clapham and Brixton.
If your venue is outside our usual service area, send us the location, event date and guest numbers. We may still be able to help.
